e-Labs

• e-Labs issues tracking page (Google Doc)
• Tomcat's 'javax' -> 'jakarta' is causing problems with data upload. The current goal is to run Tomcat 9 in parallel with Tomcat 10 to serve a working version of the e-Labs. Accomplished on i2u2-dev-24 (https://dev-t9.i2u2.org), but a nearly identical setup on i2u2-prod-24 gives an error we can't figure out.
• New/recent: Ken had trouble connecting to any data files under Data/Lifetime.

Cosmic

• Cosmic Watches have been very popular at workshops. Several teachers have asked about purchasing CWs. Might it be possible to considering making, and selling CWs at cost? This could be a way to continue to promote CWs without taxing the budget and/or the logistics of centrally "checking out" sets of CWs.

CMS

• CIMA issue continues. We are making Google sheets for masterclasses that take place this summer.
  • Plan to resolve before IPPOG at end of October by either placing old CIMA on CERN server or creating new CIMA.
• Ken meetes Uta Friday on Zoom to set dates for IMC 2026. W2D2 will be Nov 20, 2025.
• Expected for IMC 2026: all or almost all CMS data from CMS Run 2. Stay tuned. The new set will include 840 fout-lepton events, almost 4x what we had available in Run 1.

• Masterclass preparation
  • The new masterclass event display files are produced from 2016 MINIAOD. There was a problem with global muon propagation in MINIAOD where they would not show up in the display. This is now fixed and the 4-lepton events have all been regenerated with the fix: https://github.com/QuarkNet-HEP/cms-masterclass-scripts
  • The selection criteria from 2016 have been applied for W events and csv files have been produced. Next to be produced are event displays files. https://github.com/QuarkNet-HEP/Wmunu-jupyter, https://github.com/QuarkNet-HEP/Wenu-jupyter
