Meeting Notes for Next Telecon
Agenda for August 26, 2026
quarknet.org
- Current page on i2u2-quarknet-d10
- Xeno Media Basecamp page for issues
- We have created i2u2-quarknet-26, an Ubuntu 26.04 VM, to host a new instance of the main website quarknet.org updated from Drupal 10 to 11. XM is already working on it.
- A migration, almost certainly at short notice, will be necessary at some point.
e-Labs
Cosmic
CMS
CMS Open Data workshop:
- There was a CMS Open Data workshop 28-30 July at ND
- Focus was on pedagogy and how to use open data at the high-school and undergraduate level
- Some financial support from ND for participants and facilitators
- https://indico.cern.ch/event/1672496/
- The overlap with QN is obvious (and deliberate); we will need QN support in advertising the workshop and in organization
Neutrino
Servers
i2u2-wiki-24, which hosts this wiki as well as the fileserver web.quarknet.org, is mis-configured and generating performance red alerts. Joel will attempt to fix it before the end of Monday, but plan B is to take this wiki down.

It is not just us. How do we rethink our IT approach to deal with these within our resources?
