Upload Testing

Introduction

Uploading over HTTP is fraught with peril. The protocol is simply not designed to do it, even if it is the most convenient way for users to do so. Compounding the issue is that various other links in the connection chain are also unreliable. Needless to say, this can make for a frustrating time for our users and our staff.

This document aims to try and produce reliable upload testing methodologies.

Ideas

• Don't use wireless. It's terribly unreliable and introduces many points of failures well beyond our ability to control.
