Meeting Notes for 1 February

Drupal

Kevin wasn't able to participate, but he sent updates by email

• Kevin and Joel will talk on Friday about QuarkNet's contribution to the site's development
• Caro from XM will visit Fermilab on Feb 2 to finish setting up the development VM with Sudha
• Still some problems finding the right images to use. We'll need to discuss options in the next few weeks.

Cosmic

Feedback has been limited on recent improvements, so we will proceed with deploying upgrades to the instructional material and Shower Analysis this weekend.

CIMA

Ken, Tom and Joel are nearing completion of the latest round of improvements to CIMA and the CMS Masterclass. They will confer next week before the developers' teleconference (Feb 8) to finalize plans.

Fermilab meetings

There are several upcoming meeting opportunities at Fermilab:

• Ken may be visiting Feb 14 or 15?
• Sudha would like to compare development processes in person with Joel
• User Sami S, who's been having problems with his CR detector, will be in the area Feb 15-19 and has asked to meet with someone at the lab for troubleshooting
• Matt Bellis will be at Fermilab Feb 23 & 24 and has suggested a meeting with QuarkNet staff to discuss coordination with his outreach project Particle Physics Playground

Server repair

The server i2u2-vmhost02 is repaired. The VMs that were on it are in the process of being returned to it from i2u2-vmhost01; this should be completed on Saturday with i2u2-data.
